Meet the Team

Lauren Crandall LMFT

Lauren Crandall, MA, LMFT

Owner

Lauren is the founder and owner of Take Two Therapy Services. She’s the OG definition of Take Two since she spent the first part of her professional career in sales and advertising before making the leap to pursue her childhood desire to become a marriage and family therapist.

Lauren probably doesn’t fit the stereotypical therapist mold — she’s silly, serious, sassy, sensitive and a little bit of a spazz. She strives to go beyond the “how does that make you feel” template and really pushes you to answer the question “so what do you want to do about it?”

She approaches each session with an open mind, a genuine sense of curiosity, a calm yet direct line of collaborative questioning, and a bit of humor (when the time is right, of course). Whether you’re seeking individual treatment or treatment with your partner(s), your situation is unique. She will support you, your identities, and your experiences throughout your work together. Whether you're an individual struggling to manage your sexual anxiety, a new parent learning to navigate your postpartum life, or a couple trying to level out your desire discrepancy, these are examples of goals Lauren works toward with her clients regularly and welcomes the opportunity to help you!

Areas of focus:

  • Communication and conflict

  • Sex and intimacy

  • Perinatal mental health (infertility, conception, pregnancy, postpartum, etc.)

  • Men’s health

  • Women’s health

  • Alternative lifestyles

  • Life transitions

We all know life is A LOT, but Lauren is not one to make assumptions about your situation. Since no two individuals or couples are exactly alike, she strives to use your time together to understand whatever challenges you might be experiencing on any given day. If you'll trust Lauren enough to invite her into the private, vulnerable space of your life, she promises to honor it.

Outside of Take Two Therapy Services, Lauren is married to a tall, dark, and handsome man. They share three young children (and a cat). She enjoys lip syncing in her car, dancing in her kitchen, playing mahjong with her friends, and fantasizing about renovating her house.

“Life can be wildly tragic at times, and I've had my share. But whatever happens to you, you have to keep a slightly comic attitude. In the final analysis, you have got not to forget to laugh.”
